One of my role models is one of my teammates, Milo. He’s transgender. He recently transitioned and obviously it was just amazing to see him grow up and like really come into himself. Obviously last season was his last season playing.
It was definitely very challenging for him because he had to walk away from the sport that he loved but just playing with him every day and, well, every training session and just watching him grow and love a sport and have that almost taken away from him for him being himself and he’s there every training session still standing there supporting us. But yeah, so it’s just incredible to watch him there. And he’s definitely one of the people that I look to and think, wow, you’ve really, you’ve been yourself and you’ve had that something that you’ve loved ripped away from you. And I couldn’t imagine having that to myself. So he’s definitely one of my role models.
