I think at the moment, Sarah Byrne is a very, very good role model of mine because she is my position and she is a very strong, she’s a strong player, she’s a prop, but she is also very fast. So not many people would expect someone in my position to be like really speedy or, you know, just a big strong person. But Sarah Byrne, she kind of doesn’t do them aspects. Like she’s, she’s a very strong player. She’s a very strong forward, but once she gets the ball and has space, she’s very, very fast and she is a very good player.
But I think for a role model, I think this year’s captain, Lucia, she is one of my biggest role models because I do look up to her. When I started at Hove, she was out on injury, but she was always there on the sidelines supporting and everything you didn’t know, she would help you try and make you understand that in a way. Now as a captain, how she is such a good role model. Like now she plays for Ireland under 18s and she is obviously captain.
I think she’s just such a good role model. Like you can do it, especially after her surgery. You wouldn’t think that she has come this far and she’s had a surgery and was out for a year. And I think if you want it and put your mind to it, you can do anything.
