Katie

Role models, I’d say probably my parents. They’ve never played rugby, but bless my poor mum, has been to every single one of my games, standing there in her giant green coat, freezing. But she’s always on the side, she’s always shouting, but she never knows what she’s shouting, she just copies Georgie’s dad.

I remember one time I had the ball and my mum was going, ‘run Kate, run!’ And Andrew’s like… And Andrew was shouting, like, ‘pass it,’ and one moment changed to what she was shouting to match it. And it’s just like, bless her, she’s got a very loud voice, you can always hear her. And if someone’s injured, she’ll just go, oh, please don’t let it be Katie, because it’s always me that’s hurt.

She’s always there, being motivational. She’s there, she helps out, she’s a nurse, she helps if someone’s injured. and I just, I love her confidence and I want to be, I want to have her confidence.
